Trade Fair Alternatives

Why smart manufacturers are moving beyond expensive trade fairs. Digital strategies that deliver better ROI year-round. 14 articles.

A stand at a major international fair is one of the largest single line items in an export budget, and its return is decided by something outside your control: who happens to walk past. You pay for the stand, the build, the travel and three or four days of your best people, and you find out afterwards whether the right buyers were in the hall.

These guides do the arithmetic honestly. They cover what a stand really costs once travel, samples and staff time are counted, why fairs concentrate an entire year of buyer contact into four days, and what a manufacturer can do in the other fifty-one weeks — including how to use the fair itself far better by arriving with meetings already in the diary.

This is not an argument that fairs never work. It is an argument against treating one week a year as the whole export plan.
