Contacting Buyers
How to reach foreign buyers by email — templates, deliverability, and what makes a purchasing director actually reply. 3 articles.
A purchasing director at a European importer receives more supplier introductions in a week than they can read in a month. Almost all of them open by describing the manufacturer — history, capacity, quality, certifications — and almost all are deleted, because none of that answers the only question the buyer has: what gap in my range does this fill, and why now.
These guides cover the mechanics that decide whether a first email works at all: writing a first line that could only have been sent to that one company, keeping the message short enough to be read on a phone between meetings, choosing the language a buyer in that market actually replies in, and the technical hygiene that keeps a message out of the spam folder in the first place.
Volume is not the lever here. A hundred messages written for a specific company and a specific category beat ten thousand that could have been sent to anyone.
